Social Responsibility
Beyond Outsourcing recognises that Business and Society are
inextricably linked and that the idea that one could function without the support
of the other is just not possible. Therefore, we have embraced our Social Responsibility
and are continually finding ways to make a real difference to the society that we
live in.
Beyond Outsourcing has actively involved itself in the positive transformation
of SA`s realities, particularly through various social, community and health programmes.
Beyond Outsourcing’ involvement in corporate social investment (CSI) stems from
an understanding that many South Africans fall outside of the normal prosperity
of the business world.
Beyond Outsourcing is fully aware that the success in communities
today will be the success of business tomorrow and that prosperity of business and
society as a whole is inextricably linked. We are also aware that wealth is not
merely an issue of material possessions, but comes through a combination of the
environment, opportunities and choice.
For this reason, Beyond Outsourcing is committed
to social upliftment and well-being. Corporate Social Investment (CSI) in its most
fundamental form is about being a responsible corporate citizen that contributes
to the reconstruction and development of the country, as well as to the building
of relationships between communities, government and business.
Beyond Outsourcing
has launched a host of CSI initiatives to assist in the upliftment and empowerment
of people throughout South Africa. This strategy is specifically focussed on historically
disadvantaged communities, to ensure continued concrete results and successful Beyond
Outsourcing outcomes.
The strategy will be to invest a specific budget every year
in quality projects that focus on four areas:
• Infrastructure Development Programme;
• Education and Training Programme;
• Personal Development Programme;
• Aids Programme.
All Beyond Outsourcing’ projects are based on accountability, openness and adequate
disclosure and are subject to regular evaluation and monitoring to ensure long-term
sustainability and non-abuse of funding.
To further support our initiatives, each
Beyond Outsourcing staff member is given one free day per year to carry out social
responsibility in their area, either as a team or individually.
Our Group Chief
Executive Officer, Suzanne Ravenall, is the Patron of Nkosi Haven.
