What factors influenced the decision to look at an Outsourcing option in the first place?
Sun Microsystems had previously worked with a number of Labour Broking consultants. Because of these companies inability to deliver consistent service to both Sun Microsystems and their outsourced employed, Sun decided to retain the services of Beyond Outsourcing due to their industry reputation for delivery.

How long did the decision to Outsource take?
The decision to outsource had already taken by Sun Microsystems SA management. Sun had to only decide if Beyond Outsourcing could in fact deliver on their outsourcing promises. The contract was constructed in less that one month.
What were your objectives and the priority?
Our main objectives were:
Remove our current fixed headcount infrastructure to a contractor basis. Ensure that Sun could maintain its’ current service delivery to clients after an international headcount freeze Control contract administration efficiently. Recruit people within quicker turnaround times. Reduce turnover. Limit labour problems
What were the expectations of the relationship?
It is difficult for me to comment on my original expectation, as I was not the person who instigated the contract initially. However, when I took over day-to-day management of the outsourcing contract from my predecessors, I had other ideas and deliverables. After an initial stage of miscommunication between ourselves, Beyond Outsourcing quickly changed the deliverables in line with my required deliverables.
Beyond Outsourcing immediately responded in correcting their service levels and communication in line with my expectations.

What were the surprises (good and bad)?
My initial introduction to the service was not good due to the above, but having worked successfully with Beyond Outsourcing, they have increased their delivery against my expectations in leaps and bounds.

After the initial expectation gap Beyond Outsourcing has done everything in their power to deliver against my expectations.
Together with Beyond Outsourcing we have resolved various sticky personnel issues without any difficulty. We have become a formidable team in resolving our personnel related problems together.
